Bronte & Jack | Engagement

Some sessions just feel like magic from the moment they start.

Bronte and Jack rolled up to their engagement session with a motocross bike, a forest full of golden afternoon light, and the kind of easy, relaxed energy that makes my job feel like the best job in the world. There was no awkwardness, no stiffness - just two people who are completely comfortable in each other's company, ready to have a bit of fun.

Jack is a motocross rider, so bringing his bike along felt like the most natural thing in the world. It wasn't a prop - it was just him. And that's exactly what I love about engagement sessions. When couples bring something that's genuinely theirs - a place they love, something that tells their story - the photos stop feeling like photos and start feeling like them.

We started in the forest as the light began to soften, and honestly I could have stayed there all afternoon. There's something about that late afternoon Perth light filtering through the trees that does things to photos that I will never get tired of.

The riding, the laughing, the quiet moments where they just leaned into each other - this is why I always encourage my wedding couples to book an engagement session first. Not just for the photos - although these ones speak for themselves - but for the experience of being in front of the camera together before the wedding day. By the time I show up next year to photograph their wedding, we'll already feel like old friends. That ease, that comfort - it carries through into everything.

Bronte and Jack, I cannot wait for your wedding day.

Thinking about booking an engagement session in Perth? I'd love to hear from you. Sessions start from $550 and are one of my favourite things to do. Send me a DM or head to the contact page to get in touch.
